Our Story: Why a Tech Entrepreneur Started a Finance Blog
Welcome to Finstle. My name is Owais Makkabi, and I’m an entrepreneur and a former Full Stack Developer.
For years, my world revolved around code. In 2017, I left my job at a US-based software agency to build my own ventures. I developed AI-powered solutions for the banking and education sectors systems that are still being used today in places like San Francisco, California. My passion has always been using technology to solve complex problems.
But soon, I discovered a different kind of problem that needed solving, not in boardrooms, but in the lives of people around me.
Students, part-timers, and friends from the US, UK, Europe, and beyond kept reaching out. They weren’t asking about complex algorithms; they were asking for real, practical advice on how to earn a little extra money. How to pay for college fees, cover next month’s rent, or simply get ahead.
I realized the internet was failing them. It’s a sea of clickbait, confusing advice, and superficial “get-rich-quick” schemes. There was a clear gap between the theoretical advice online and the practical, ground-level reality of what actually works.
So, I decided to build a platform to fix that. A place built on the same principles I use to build software: logic, clarity, and a focus on real-world results.
